Our backups and backup reminders have got out of sync and wondering how best to sort the problem without having to re-create the backup job.
Just to give some background we are using 4 tapes, one for a daily (differental backup) then rotating the other 3 on a weekly basis, Week 1, Week 2 and Week 3 and have just completed our 3rd backup (week 3) however the reminder said Week 2 yet the label of the tape and zip filename says week 3.
I suspected it was something to do with the us having problems with the 1st backup failing (long file names) so had re-scheduled it to kick off again, but I think that might have moved the schedule onto the next week. Looking at the data on all 3 tapes; week 1 and week 2 both have a zip with the set name week 2.
When I created the backup job I printed off a calendar schedule however I just went back in and the calendar had updated itself saying actually it should have been week 2 last friday and week 3 this week. So jumped forwards one week.
I've tried to see if there was some sort of backup start date that I could edit and set it back to a week earlier but couldnt find anything.
Whats the best way to sort out problem and getting back in sync?
