Hello,
I've got an error with VM authentication for Exchange detection.
Config :
Host Server : Windows 2012 R2 Hyperv-AD-DNS
Guests VMs : 3 Windows 2012 R2, one dedicated to Exchange 2013, no others roles.
All in the same windows domain.
BackupAssit v 9.2 (licensed with remote backup, hyper-v advanced, Exchange granular) installed on the host.
Creating a new backup task (full system or files, tried both) to rsync, external usb disk ou local folder (tried all of them). I select only the VM with Exchange in the list of items to backup (all the VM are correctly listed).
When arriving on the Exchange VM Detection screen, I fill the user/password/domain with the same user as in the backup user account. I've tried to used a specifically created user (backup operator, exchange organization admin, domain admin) and with the domain admin.
Then I press "test" and always the result is : fail with user authentication (in french so I cannot be sure of what is the english message).
After several tests I've install a 30 days trials version on another system :
Host : 2012 R2 - HyperV, AD, DNS, Files server
Guest : 2012 R2 -Exchange 2013
Both in the same domain.
(This system is of course not connected to the first one, not same lan, not same wan, not same domain)
BA again installed on the physical host of course.
Same result.
I can't believe that it's a bug, it's too obvious. I must miss something in my config, but I don't see what.
The rest of the backup (backup a file, mirror a folder, and so) is working. Only the Exchange VM detection fails.
But my customer first bought BA for the Exchange granular backup/restore...
Thks for any help.
