Lost backup jobs during upgrade to v9

I just upgraded Backup Assist on Server 2012 from v8.something to v9.5.4 and now have no backup jobs. All the network connections show under Settings>Network Paths, but 'Manage Backup Jobs' is grayed out.

I recently upgraded another server(Server 2008 R2) from the same v8 version to 9.5.2 and NONE of my backup jobs on that server were lost. I opened up the Console after upgrading and everything was there. How can I recover my jobs on the 2012 server without having to try to recreate them?

Hi there,

Thanks for posting on our forum.

For your jobs not to show up in the newer release means something must've occurred during the migration process.
You can manually add your jobs by following the steps below:

1. Stop the BackupAssist Service by running the following command within an elevated command prompt:

net stop zBackupAssistService

2. Browse to C:\ProgramData\BackupAssist v8 and copy the Jobs folder.
3. Browse to C:\ProgramData\BackupAssist v9 and paste the Jobs folder (which you copied in step 2) then select to overwrite the current folder that's already there.
4. Start the BackupAssist Service by running the following command within an elevated command prompt:

net start zBackupAssistService

When you then open the console again, all your jobs should now appear.
