I have 5TB of data, and I would like to have a backup scheme that would give me the possibility to restore a version of my backup for every past year, 11 past months, 3 past weeks and 4 past days. I am actually using BA archiving sheme, but this is not going to be possible at some point : (4 + 3 + 11 ) * 5 TB = 80 TB of data just for one year (+ 5TB for any additional year).

Is there a better solution than my actual one ? With snapshots ?

This sounds like the desription of the Grandfather, Father, Son shedule option. You may wanbt to look at the File Protection option as opposed to the Zip to Tape method, unless you are actually backing up to tape.
