Hi,
I installed BackupAssist 8.4.0 on a clustered Hyper-V 2012 R2 with two nodes.
BackupAssist is installed on each node and I configured a JOB-type "system protection" for backing up VM on CSV partition.
The two work begins at the same time and I get these errors:

Node1

How can I fix these errors and backing up VMs?

It's Michael Jones from support.

This error can occur when BackupAssist attempts to one or more of the VSS writers and is unable to find all of the VSS components required.

Do the following on both machines

Many times a simple reboot will help resolve this problem.

If a reboot doesn’t work, open an elevated command prompt and run the following command: Vssadmin list writers

Look through the command output for writer errors and failures. If you find an error with your Microsoft VSS writer, you’ll need to resolve it before the backup job will work properly. For help with resolving some Microsoft VSS errors, check out the following link:

In order to find the Event ID of the error you’re receiving, you will need to open your Windows Event logs and check the Application and/or System logs.

If there are no writer issues reported, please send us a diagnostic report.

To send us this diagnostic report, please follow these steps:

1. Open BackupAssist.
2. Click on the Help menu at the top of the console.
3. Select Feedback and Support... from the drop down menu.
4. Click on Contact Support.
5. Enter the details asked for.

Make sure the tick box stating Submit system diagnostics to help our support team with your query' is ticked. This will zip all your BackupAssist settings so that we can review these specifically for your environment.
