Granular Restore in CSV

by globalsi » Fri Feb 27, 2015 12:22 am

Hi,
I want to backup my futur infrastructure.
I'll have 2 hosts (windows 2012) with HyperV in cluster mode.
I'll have 4 guests (windows 2008 with one that include Exchange 2010).
Theses VM will be on a SAN (DELL equallogic iSCSI).

Can BackupAssist make HyperV Granular Restore and Exchange Granular Restore in this situation ?

This : http://www.backupassist.com/BackupAssist/history.html --> say YES
This : http://www.backupassist.com/education/v ... .html#tab4 --> say NO

Thank in advance.

Hello,

It's Michael Jones from support.

Yes, you should be able to backup the configuration you described with BackupAssist. You would need two licenses, with a Hyper-v and Exchange Granular restore ad ons.

The reference to the documentation that indicates it is not supported is from the original release of version 8, when it was not yet supported.

Please download the trial and give it a try.
Should you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact me - I'd be glad to assist you.

Thank You,
Michael R. Jones
