Unable to uninstall

Whenever I run the Installation Wizard to uninstall BackupAssist v8 and BackupAssist MultiSite Manager v8, it pops out an message:

Error 19521. Service BackupAssist Service(zBackupAssistService) could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to stop system services.

or

Error 1921. Service BackupAssist MultiSite Manager Service(zBackupAssistMultisiteManager Service) could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to stop system services.

what is the possible reason?
