Adding drivers for PCI-E USB card

Postby dodders » Fri Nov 20, 2015 3:56 am

Hi,

I am trying to add drivers to my Recovery Assist image for Renesas USB 3.0 Host Controller but the device is not operational in the recovery environment.

First question is should this be possible? Second question, should I be using the 32 or 64bit drivers? Third question, is there a way to verify that I have added the drivers correctly and that they are loading in the recovery environment?

Thanks!

Hello,

It's Michael Jones from support.

You understand that adding the drivers to the Recover Assist environment, allows you to have them available for install during the recovery process. It will not automatically configure your device for you.

You should use the appropriate drivers for your O/S.

There is no verification other than them being available during the restore, so you can install them.
Should you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact me - I'd be glad to assist you.

Thank You,
Michael R. Jones
