2008 R2 long log on times after reboot?

by Pab » Fri Feb 18, 2011 9:28 pm

I have a Dell T710 running Server 2008 R2 std. it runs Hyper-V, UPS software, AV and backup assist only.
When I reboot the server I log in and get the "welcome" screen, it hangs here for about 20 minutes.

Doing some research, it seems that this is caused by VHDs being mounted/dismounted frequently and creating orphined entries in the registry, perhaps when backup assist is doing my Hyper-V backups? Microsoft have released a hot fix for this but I wanted to see if anyone else was getting this issue and if they applied th patch?
